grandpa, God Has Set Me Free
Don’t hold me in your sorrow,
Don’t shed those tears for me,
I’ve found my heavenly tomorrow,
God has set me free.
I’m in a better place,
I walk the streets of gold.
I’m sheltered by God’s grace.
I have His hand to hold.
You never have to worry,
I have everything I need.
God made me happy,
When my soul was freed.
And when your days are over,
We’ll surely meet again,
We’ll share our love and laughter,
When you get to heaven.
grandpa i miss you
Tributes For Week Starting 23rd November
FOR MONDAY
The best and most beautiful
Things in the world cannot
Be seen or even touched.
They must be felt with the heart.
FOR TUESDAY
Gone yet not forgotten,
Although we are apart,
Your spirit lives within me,
Forever in my heart.
FOR WEDNESDAY
A gift for such a little while,
Your loss just seems so wrong,
You should not have left before us,
It’s with loved ones you belong.
FOR THURSDAY
Perhaps they are not
Stars in the sky,
But rather openings
Where our loved ones shine down
To let us know they are happy.
FOR FRIDAY
The Watcher
They always leaned to watch for us
Anxious if we were late,
In winter by the window,
In summer by the gate.
And though we mocked them tenderly
Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe,
Because they waited there.
Their thoughts were all so full of us,
They never could forget,
And so I think that where they are
They must be watching yet.
Waiting ‘til we come home to them
Anxious if we are late
Watching from Heaven’s window
Leaning from Heaven’s gate.
FOR SATURDAY
As We Look Back
As we look back over time
We find ourselves wondering .....
Did we remember to thank you enough
For all you have done for us?
For all the times you were by our sides
To help and support us .....
To celebrate our successes
To understand our problems
And accept our defeats?
Or for teaching us by your example,
The value of hard work, good judgement,
Courage and integrity?
We wonder if we ever thanked you
For the sacrifices you made.
To let us have the very best?
And for the simple things
Like laughter, smiles and times we shared?
If we have forgotten to show our
Gratitude enough for all the things you did,
We're thanking you now.
And we are hoping you knew all along,
How much you meant to us.
FOR SUNDAY
To Those Whom I Love and Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You must not tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that I have had so many years
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness
I think you for the love each have shown
But now it is time I traveled on alone
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
It is only for a while that we must part
So bless the memoriss in your heart
I will not be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come
Though you can not see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen with your heart, you will hear
All of my love around you soft and clear
Then, when you must come this way alone
I will greet you with a smile and a
"
Remember Me
Remember me when roses bloom
And Spring returns again ---
For I am ever present in your midst
In the dawn and in the wind ---
You mustn't think I've gone away
For good - Instead remember me
The way I was in better days
The way it used to be ----
Remember me as I am now
Alive, at peace, and free ---
There is no place for sorrows past
Is just a lost memory ----
For life derives its' purest joy
In living day to day ---
Follow what I've taught you
And REMEMBER ME, this way .....

In Honor of my father-in-law, a true man of God
Although Fon was my father "in-law", he was more like a dad to me as I lost my father nearly 20 years ago. Fon was a quiet man... a strong man... a faithful man... a compassionate man... a wise man... a man of God. He was one of the best examples I've ever had in my life of how to authentically love and serve God. I often went to him for biblical advice on many subjects. His advice was always based on the Word of God, not opinion. I know from many conversations with him that his greatest desire was to see everyone of his children and grandchildren come to salvation in Jesus Christ and to see them faithfully serve the Lord in obedience to his Word. I love you Dad and will miss you for now... but I look forward to seeing you again soon in the presence of our Lord! Love, Faith
your finally at rest
we laid you to rest,on Monday on the 21 of September,2009, it was Avery sad day, my mom was laid to rest, with you, your both with the angels, love you both, grandpa, mom
we love you grandpa
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted me now; He set me free.
